Technology in Maritime (TIM) 2024, an event by The Naval Connection (TNC) headed by Capt. Shoukat Mukherjee is an annual event aimed at paving the way for innovation and collaboration in the maritime sector by hosting delegates and eminent personalities form maritime sector, and comprises of informative speeches and interactive sessions, project presentation competition and cultural celebrations. This edition of TIM event saw three verticals: IIM Awards, Yuva Tarang and Industry Best Practices award.

Under the IIM Awards for Industry Best Practices, AEMA was nominated for the Operational Excellence Award in the Cadet Programme Excellence category. AEMA won the Industry Best Practices Award in this category, once again proving the top-notch training of cadets at the academy!
IIM awards was about project presentation, where AEMA had put up two projects namely:

1. Solar Powered Thermoelectric Generator and
2. Innovation in damage control during ship collision.

We won the prestigious award for both the projects presented and brought home the IIM Trophy.

Yuva Tarang is a cultural festival where cadets from various MTIs presented their dance and band performances, and AEMA put a musical band which garnered praise and applause from both the judges and audience
