Naughtica is an inter-collegiate event for Maritime Training Institutes (MTIs) where competitions under the category of performing arts, sports and knowledge take place. The event is organized by Offing Pvt. Ltd. Naughtica has previously been held in Bangalore, Goa, Chennai, and Mumbai; this edition, the 5th, was held in Pune, where stage shows took place at Buntara Bhawan and sports activities were held at Balewadi Stadium.

23 MTIs from different parts of India participated and the event saw a whopping footfall of more than 600 students. The event comprised of band performance, dance performances, marine Quiz, a personality contest, film-making contest, doodling, and sports events such as swimming, chess, table Tennis, badminton, indoor rowing, and fitness challenge. There were competitions testing the seamanship skills of participants as well as a competition to check engineering and electrical skills of the participants.

In the group dance event, a Bhangra performance was performed by AEMA cadets that got them to the final rounds. A shoutout goes to cadets, Gurjeet Singh, Maninder Pal Singh, Sahil Thapa, Karan Sharma and Jashanpreet Singh. Moreover, the strong indoor rowing team of Cadets Prashant Joshi and Harshkirt Singh reached the semi-finals. Needless to say the competition was intense!

Now, the drumrolls…. AEMA cadets showcased a brilliant performance, winning two gold medals at Naughtica 5.0. The personality contest was won by Cadet Aditya Gupta whose quick wit, fabulous answers, and debating skills convinced and compelled the judges to crown him the winner. Another gold was secured by cadet Armaan Nain in doodle competition; his creative flare was evident in the doodle he created, which was displayed to the audience when he received his prize, garnering the loudest applause.
